UNAR ultrasonic sensors from Baumer Ltd., Southington, CT
, are designed to operate in harsh environments where they are exposed to inorganic acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and moisture. Max. sensing distance is 1000 mm. Features include an IP67-rated M18x1 housing of V4A SS, a Parylene coating for the sensor face, and an FFKM O-ring. Applications include noncontact proximity, position, counting, level, and distance sensing for petroleum-based products; paints, coatings, and related solvents; cleaning fluids; and other harsh materials. Sensors are available in digital and analog versions.
