In a hot environment, it is essential to provide temperature-sensitive electronic components in encoders with thermal protection if you want to keep system availability high.
Water-cooled encoders in the ITD 61 A 4 Y 9 series, originally a special development for a one-off application, guarantee consistently high performance quality even when ambient temperatures are high. For example:  

■

in close proximity to engines with high temperatures of their own, like diesel engines,

■

in the glass and ceramics industry, or

■

in foundries and other plants involved in metalworking.
