General Cable introduced the TRU-Mark System for their Carol Brand Portable Power Cord products. Currently being integrated into their stock, the TRU-Mark system will sequentially mark the length of the cable every 2 feet in descending order from the outside of the reel to the core.

General also launched new vivid colors for their Carol Brand Super Vu-Tron Type W Extra-Flex Cable. Once available in black only, the cables will now be available in gray, blue, green, orange, yellow and red as well. Rebecca Mertens has been promoted to sales representative at our WI office. Mertens began at Allied in February 2007 as a sales assistant. "I am thrilled to be a part of the sales team of Allied Wire and Cable, which is such a friendly, dedicated, and customer oriented company,” she said. After 3 successful years as a sales assistant, we're excited to see her succeed in this new role.

Joke of the Month!
Three engineers and three accountants were traveling by train to a conference. At the station, the three accountants each bought tickets and watched as the three engineers bought only one ticket.
"How are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asked an accountant.
"Watch and you'll see", answered an engineer.
