Cold glue guns
Electrical cold glue guns for dot and line application. The robust high performance glue application heads guarantee unrivalled productivity with minimum maintenance.
Dot mode allows for precise amounts of glue application at low speeds. At high speed the optimized flow through the head combined with variable glue pressure provides consistent gluing at any machine speed.
Cold glue pumps
For continuous delivery of adhesives under adequate pressure: Diaphragm- and piston pumps for cold glue application.
For simple, cost effective cold glue supply of low viscosity materials, pressure tanks are a reliable cost-effective method.
Maximum reliability thanks to non contact electronic reversing mechanism. Direct communication with the controller allows for full pressure control depending on speed of your production line. Even filter change is guided step by step on screen.
Hot melt melting units
The melter together with heated hoses and application heads forms a hotmelt system.
The unit melts granules and transports them under pressure through the heated hoses to the application heads. The liquid glue is pumped through heated hoses to the guns which are also heated, where it is applied to the packaging surface in a correct temperature. Melters of the Xmelt series can detect connected components as soon as plugged in.
Hot melt guns
Its innovative design with integrated solenoid valve allows for fast intermittence at middle and high viscosity adhesive and bridges the gap between slow electro-pneumatic and viscosity limiting electric application guns, which are all part of the Baumer hotmelt range.
The powerful module with electro-pneumatic actuation offers extreme durability, reliable operation, simple maintenance and high frequency with perfect cut-off of the glue line. Compact dimensions allow use even in constricted spaces.
The unique combination of the features power and speed generate a multitude of new application options like non-contact dot and line application even of the most difficult special adhesives with high cycle packaging and print processing machines.
Adhesive application controllers
Baumer gluing system can be integrated into machines of diverse manufacturers even afterwards.
Sensors and encoders by Baumer collect all input parameters of the controller. The controller opens glue application guns after receiving an input signal – both cold glue and hot melt. This results in continuing quality of glue patterns in serial production. Controller and machine can exchange information in both directions. The user will only need few clicks on screen to start the next job on the machine. This reduces downtime.

Since gluing is usually located at the end of the process, Baumer hhs systems can monitor any criteria on the product. Modules such as Code-Reading, Glue- or Presence-Control - to name only a few - result in precise data collection and ejection of detected cartons and thus ensure faultless production.
The control system combines glue application with glue monitoring and is equipped with a 2-step warning system: The first step is an optic alarm when glue is applied incorrectly, followed by a feeder stop, ejection or spray marking of the faulty product. Xtend² for the first time integrates hot melt systems with their thermal processes.
