The new GigE Trigger Device allows simple integration of process relevant sensors and actuators into the camera network. With 8 inputs and 8 outputs, it provides enough connections for the integration of light barriers and encoders which enable to realize a simple processes control without an additional PLC. The input signals from the sensors are evaluated by the Device and used for the real-time triggering of a single camera or a group of GigE cameras. Following image analysis, gates or other actuators can be triggered for additional process steps thanks to the numerous outputs. To trigger GigE cameras directly, the Device was equipped with a 2-port switch. This enables the connection directly to the PC and to one GigE camera. The switch supports standard GigE cameras as well as PoE cameras.
With the new GigE Trigger Device, Baumer, the specialist for industrial digital cameras, has expanded its portfolio of innovative network components, providing all necessary components for the professional integration of GigE cameras into industrial environments.
