The CRF2 capacitive level transmitter from Dwyer Instruments Inc., Mercoid Div., Michigan City, IN, uses impulse RF admittance to measure level measurement and stability. The device senses capacitance changes resulting from the height of the material in the tank between the probe and tank wall. Features include no moving parts, a rigid or flexible probe, pushbutton calibration of zero and span, and an optional FEP-covered probe for use with corrosive media. Applications include sludge, slurry, liquids with suspended solids, bulk solids, and liquid interface detection.
